Itinerary Variant 2. Upper Irkut, 50 km, 3-4 grade, 3 days, rafting + hiking.
It is very dynamic, adrenaline-taking trip. 50 km of continuos rapids and beautifull mountain landscapes make you unforgettable impressions! Some short but pleasure hiking is included! Note: all the rafting is to be done on unloaded catarafts. All the gear is carrying by the car which accompanies the team all the way. It saves time for loading/unloading the vessels, improves the manoeuvrability of the catarafts and increase the safety level!

| Day 2 | Transfer from Irkutsk (Mondy village en route) to upper Irkut river (to the confluence with it's right tributary - White Irkut), 320 km, minibus. Lunch upon arrival. Easy but interesting hike along old abandoned Mongolian Way to the Nukhu Daban pass. The beaten trail gently ascends between a variety of flowers and Siberian Taiga species like "The Camel's Tail", "Sakhan-Dalia" medical herb, "Chabretz" and others. From the pass, the panoramic view to Munku-Sardyk (the highest summit of the Eastern Sayan) is open. You can also see the deep canyons of White and Middle Irkut rivers. Return to the camp. Dinner. Rest. |
| Day 3 | Preparations for the rafting. Training. Lunch. Rafting about 30 km- cascade of plain rapids 2-3 grade. Stop for camping on the left bank glade in 2 km after the bridge to Mondy village. Dinner. Rest. |
| Day 4 | Breakfast. Rafting down the bridge (about 20 km). The sequency of 3-4 grade rapids in a narrow canyon. Lunch. Transfer to Irkutsk. Hotel accommodation (***DBL BB). |

| Day 6 | Breakfast. Most difficult day. Among others, "Big Rapid" is adrenaline-taking, with it's up to 1,5 m high waves. Lunch. Camping near Burlik stream. Dinner. |
| Day 7 | Breakfast. Rafting down Shamanka village. Giant cliffs, genuine Siberian taiga on the banks! Immediately after the village, you can see the famous "Shaman Rock" with giant 2-km long red wall. Stop near the ferry. Lunch. Disassembling of the rafts. Transfer to Irkutsk. Hotel accommodation (***DBL BB). |
