Rolling out of the Kyrgyz Alatau (Kyrgyzskiy Range, Northern Tien Shan) to the North, the Ala-Archa, Alamedin and dozens of parallel canyons are good for everything from picnics to mountaineering and even Big Wall climbing. They are the most accessible gorges from Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan - only 40 km driving!
